1. Definition of the furnished tourist accommodation rating
The furnished tourist accommodation rating is designed to indicate the level of comfort and services offered by your vacation rental. This rating, represented by a score ranging from 1 to 5 stars, evaluates all properties based on: the quality and comfort of the amenities, the quality of services provided (cleaning, linens, check-in, check-out, private transport, etc.), and best practices regarding environmental sustainability and accessibility for guests with disabilities. Unlike the mandatory declaration of your furnished tourist accommodation to the town hall, this rating is optional. However, you can only obtain your rating once the inspection visit has been completed.

3. Obtaining the furnished tourist accommodation rating
There are several steps to take before obtaining your furnished tourist accommodation rating for your vacation rental.
The inspection visit
First, you must have an inspection visit of your furnished tourist accommodation. To do this, you can contact organizations accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (COFRAC) or refer to the list of organizations mentioned in Article 2 of L. 324-1 of the Tourism Code.
The inspection certificate
One month after the inspection of your Airbnb rental, the organization you chose will send you an inspection certificate containing: the inspection report, the completed checklist, and the proposed rating decision. Once you receive the certificate, you have 15 days to reject the proposed rating. Once this period has passed, the rating is finalized.
4. Mentioning your rating on your listing
Rating decisions are sent by email by the organizations in charge of the inspection. All that remains is for you to mention your rating in the title and description of your Airbnb or Booking.com listing.
