#2: 2016 Nuits des Étoiles in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.

Come discover the 26th annual Nuits des Étoiles and take the time to look up at the sky. For 3 days, from August 5th to 7th, 2016, the Nuits des Étoiles invites us to gaze at the stars with friends or family. Here are two fantastic spots in Paris to observe the sky:

Tour Montparnasse: Friday, August 5th, Saturday, August 6th, and Sunday, August 7th, 2016. Espace 56, the terrace of the Tour Montparnasse, transforms the capital's most iconic rooftop into an open-air observatory. Paid entry (tickets can be won on their website).

Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie: On the program: observations, workshops, and fun activities in the Parc de la Villette, hosted by the Cité's mediators. Free.

#3: Font'Arts in Pernes-les-Fontaines.

Head to Pernes-les-Fontaines, a small Provençal village, to discover the Font'Arts festival, an atypical street theater and music festival. Throughout the weekend, around forty companies will perform for free in the alleys and squares of this small town. The festival reserves a significant portion of its programming for younger audiences, with artistic expression workshops and shows featuring mime, fairground theater, juggling, and burlesque circus acts.

#4: Festival Darc in Châteauroux.

If you are passionate about dance, come discover the Festival Darc, created in 1975. More than 65,000 people from all over the world gather here to share their love of dance. This festival combines public concerts with dance workshops led by internationally renowned professionals. Participants come to learn or perfect their technique in about thirty disciplines: Modern Jazz, Classical Ballet, Capoeira, Argentine Tango, Hip Hop, Salsa, Tap, Singing, Musical Theater, Contemporary Dance, African Dance, Flamenco, Indian Dance, and even DanceSport. In the evening, the concerts take over.
