A marathon for wine lovers?

Let's discover a unique race. Since 1985, the Médoc Marathon has been surprising people with its friendly and warm atmosphere. 8,000 marathon runners are expected—costumes are encouraged! They’ve traveled from afar to compete while enjoying the pleasures of sport and the finest local specialties. Throughout the course, runners will pass through more than fifty wine estates. They will also be invited to refuel with wine, oysters, foie gras, or steak. In total, 23 Médoc wine tasting stands await the runners. The path is also lined with orchestras and brought to life by local residents who take the day to come out and cheer on the participants. This marathon is like no other, so get ready, as it will be held this September 10th and 11th.

The Crémieu Medieval Festival.

Every second weekend of September, the Crémieu Medieval Festival takes place. For one weekend, Crémieu travels back to the Middle Ages thanks to the work of over 200 professionals and 300 volunteers. The program features numerous shows for a successful trip back in time; discover equestrian performances, jousting and combat, jugglers, colorful stilt walkers, flag throwers, fire-breathers, musicians, and magicians. Artists wander the streets, performing sketches, fables, and farces of yesteryear. There will also be educational workshops for everyone. The Saint-Cloud Grand Fireworks Display

Tonight, catch the Saint-Cloud Grand Fireworks Display. For all fireworks lovers, head to the Saint-Cloud estate near Paris for the largest fireworks display in Europe, a massive pyrotechnic show that lasts nearly two hours and draws up to 23,000 people. The staging changes every year, offering you a show with about thirty exceptional scenes. The most modern pyrotechnic techniques are used to provide the audience with a magical and grandiose performance.
