For several years now, the Airbnb rental platform has offered "Superhost" status to highlight hosts who are the most dedicated and committed to guest well-being. Beyond the satisfaction of standing out, it is primarily a great way to optimize occupancy rates and rental income. Your Airbnb concierge service explains everything you need to know about Superhost status!

‍

What is Superhost status and why should you aim for it?

‍"Superhost" status is a designation that you (or more precisely, your Airbnb account) earn after meeting specific criteria set by Airbnb (see below). Once you have met these requirements, you will receive a message confirming your new status. From then on, each of your short-term rental listings will feature a small badge, signaling to potential future guests that they are dealing with a top-tier host and can be certain of a high-quality stay.

But the benefits for you don't stop there:

  • You receive priority support from Airbnb
  • You will be invited to exclusive events and early access to new site features
  • If you maintain your status for a full year, you earn a $100 Airbnb travel coupon

‍

As you can see, the most significant advantage is the ability to stand out from non-Superhost listings and an indirect way to signal to travelers that they can book with confidence. It is this "snowball effect" that will allow you to strengthen your offering and achieve a high occupancy rate.

‍

How do you become a Superhost?

‍You don't need to take any specific steps to become a Superhost. The Airbnb platform uses an evaluation program that automatically detects all accounts that have met the criteria. If you are selected, the evaluation period lasts an average of 10 days (without you being able to know if or when the program has detected you). Of course, the first requirement is that your account must comply with the Airbnb hosting standards and that over the past year, you have met the following criteria:

‍

  • Your response rate is 90% or higher (responding within an hour)
  • At least 80% of the reviews you received are 5-star ratings, provided that at least half of the guests who stayed with you left a review
  • You have not canceled any confirmed reservations
  • You have hosted guests at least 10 times

‍

Of course, becoming a Superhost requires a certain level of commitment and a significant amount of time. If you are unable to manage this yourself, you can always entrust your rental to our experts and our full-service management. We take care of ensuring your listing is showcased in the best possible way!
