Renaud, our city manager in Toulouse, is truly passionate about travel and discovery. Coming from a hospitality background, Renaud has gained extensive experience in guest relations throughout his career. Six months ago, Renaud decided to dedicate himself to the concierge profession and join the Welkeys team to help all his guests discover the "Pink City."

Why did he decide to get into managing Airbnb or Booking-style rentals?

To provide service in everyday life. Renaud noticed that most vacation rental owners lack time. "We are in a period where service plays a predominant role," he tells us. Indeed, many guests using booking platforms do not speak French and are visiting the Pink City for the first time. It can sometimes be difficult to navigate public transport, find a good restaurant, or know the city's hidden gems. Since our city manager is fluent in English and Spanish, he can offer plenty of advice to his guests even before they check in to their short-term rental. Toulouse is a big city where friendliness is key. That is why our Airbnb concierge always takes the time to chat with his guests, understand their travel goals, and offer additional services to make their stay more enjoyable. To ensure he satisfies your Airbnb or Booking guests, he only shares places he has personally tested and where he feels comfortable.

What if your guests want to go for a drink during their stay in your short-term rental?

For a casual, lively atmosphere, Renaud always recommends the tapas bar Barrique et Bourrique. It’s a place where you can take the time to enjoy life while sipping wine accompanied by delicious tapas (his favorite dish!).

What if your guests want to go for a walk once they have checked in and settled their belongings in your Airbnb?

It is always pleasant to take a stroll along the Garonne River or through the pedestrian streets of the city center. For the more adventurous, our Toulouse city manager always has a hike in the Pyrenees to suggest.

What if your guests want to have a coffee on a terrace to enjoy the last few minutes of their stay in Toulouse before checking out?

To make the most of the Pink City before handing back the keys to their short-term rental to our Airbnb concierge, Renaud always suggests they sit at one of the terraces on Place Saint-Georges and watch the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian street.
